Sgt. Otto Sorensen

US Army 188th Field Artillery

from:North Dakota

Otto back, Feb 1945

My aunts dad Otto Sorensen was a member of the 9th Army, 188th Field Artillery in WWII. We just opened his army footlocker. In it are many items, articles, photos, souvenirs and names of members. I believe he was a quartermaster. There are many prewar North Dakota National Guard pictures too. We would like to contribute what data we have while retaining the items. There are pictures of the unit linking up with the Russians at the Elbe river. We don't think these pictures have ever been seen before.
