Pte. George Leslie "GL" Myers
British Army 6th Battalion Green Howards (Yorkshire Regiment)
from:Hartlepool
(d.28th June 1942)
My great uncle George Myers served with the 6th Bn Green Howards (Yorkshire Regiment). He was a private and was sent to different parts of the world. What I can recall he was in a tank with some other privates serving in the Middle East when their tank got blown up. He is buried in El Alamein War Cemetery.
I do have pictures of the cemetery. I honour all the brave soliders out there for fighting the WW1 and WW2
