220903 Sgt. Clifford Gorton Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve 428 Sqd. from:Manchester (d.25th June 1943) My Uncle Clifford Gorton was in the 428 Sqdn R.C.A.F. He died on the 25th June 1943 and is buried in Eindhoven General Cemetery, Netherlands. I understand that he flew with the Canadians who were a man short for a mission. He was a rear gunner and radio operator. He was aged 23. I would love to hear from anybody who could shed more light on this brave man. I have just received his war medals and am honoured and indebted to have these momentos on his behalf. I now live in Malta and will visit Eindhoven soon to pay my respects in person.
