From 1941 to 1945, he fought in Burma with the 165th L.A.A. Battery, 55th L.A.A. Regiment of the Royal Artillery and was part of the Eighth Army. Horace died in 1998, leaving his wife Clarice Pamela Coles and daughter Irene.
