Don't know a lot about my father Hugh McGeoch's service except he landed up on HMS Braganza which I believe was for training new entrants in India. He joined the Elgin and was on board when she got hit by acoustic mine off Portland. I don't know if there were any casualties but the ship was scrapped.
Would love to hear of anyone who may have known him and help fill in a lot of blanks in his story.
