Oliver John Adams British Army 1st Airlanding Light Regiment Royal Artillery from:Whilton, Northamptonshire (d.24th Sep 1944) My Grandad Oliver Adams served with the 1st Airlanding Light Regiment, Royal Artillery. He was the son of Thomas and Kate Rose Adams, of Whilton, Northamptonshire and husband of Ellen Louie Adams, also of Whilton He fought during the Battle of Arnhem, Operation Market Garden and died on 24 September 1944 aged 29 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem. His daughter, my mother was born in April 1945.
