Add Information to Record of a Person who served during the Second World War on The Wartime Memories Project Website

226340 CPO. Harry Morris Royal Navy HMS Whimbrel from:Wolverhampton Dad, Harry Morris joined HMS Whimbrel when it was commissioned. His service record shows that he was previously crewed on HMS Harvester, and that he joined Whimbrel on 30th of December 1942, when he was ranked as ERA IV CPO in the engine room. He served on-board until the 12th of July 1944, after going through the Battles of the Atlantic, Arctic service, Normandy and Sicily. He died when I was 10, so I did not get to know about his wartime experiences, and I do not have any photos of the period. It would be wonderful to see any photos of the Whimbrel and her crew.
