My father William Eldon Warwick was attached to the shore based anti-submarine base HMS Osprey from 17th June 1940 (after having survived the sinking of the Armed Merchant Cruiser Andania the previous day) until 5th August 1940 when he was appointed to the torpedo school HMS Defiance (for ML137).
