228940 Les Woods British Army Tank Brigade My father was a tank driver in an independent tank regiment during WWII. Apparently, they operated in Africa, Italy and probably in France. My father said they would be transported to a battle, then after its end would be reloaded and sent elsewhere to continue the fight, many times without rest. He said that his tank would often fly the colours of the regiment he was attached to during that battle. Does anyone know anything about these units?
