Royal Navy Aux Hosp Vaenga, Murmansk
My father was one of the small team who set up the Royal Navy Auxiliary Hospital at Vaenga, Murmansk in 1941 for those wounded on the Arctic convoys. He was there for 15 months and during this time Capt (later Admiral) Sherbrooke was a patient and was awarded the VC while he was there. Does anyone have any information about this hospital?
