Has anyone heard of my grandfather, Private C.H. Morton (5948269), who fought in Sicily in WWII. He was part of the 1st Battalion Princess Louise's Kensington Regiment. He was badly injured in 1943 and was returned to England to the Mount Vernon Hospital in Middlesex. He was known as Danky. I am trying to find out what his real first name was; his date of birth and/or death; or where he was born/lived.
