Leslie William Cannon

Royal Air Force

I am researching the life of AVM Leslie William CANNON CB, CBE. He joined the RAF as Apprentice 1920 (No.335612)(2nd entry) at RAF Cranwell. He was commissioned in 1925 (No.16166).

He served pre-WWII at Henlow, Shrewsbury, Cranwell, 440/441 Flt/FAA China Station. No.2 Sqn, No.5 Sqn India (NWF).

WWII HQ Bomber Command/No.2 Gp Bomber Command/Foulsham/Watton/Lasham/Dunsfold/21 OTU/2nd Tactical Air Force in France/Belgium/Germany (Gutersloh). No. 85 Group (Hamburg/Bad Eilsen).

Post-WWII Royal Pakistan Air Force, Air Ministry.

Any personal information or stories would be of great help. I am also trying to find his Flying Log Book and medals/decorations.
