Joseph Hemelryk was my uncle. He emigrated from UK to Canada in 1936, enlisted in the Canadian Infantry Corps in 1941 and was seconded to the City Of Glasgow Regiment in April 1944 as a CANLOAN officer. He was killed in action after crossing the Rhine.
