Cpl. Jack Morris Stokes

South African Army Corps of Signals

from:Southern Rhodesia

Jack Stokes was my Dad. He never spoke of his time during the War, but he did serve 2 years and 95 days. I am keen to know more about where he served in Italy and Egypt. He later served in the volunteer Dad's Army in the Rhodesian war. Because he was over the enlistment age, he spent time patrolling the suburban areas in Bulawayo where we lived. I was a nurse during the Rhodesian War and saw a lot of the war injuries during this time. I worked at Andrew Fleming Hospital in Salisbury.
