Squadron Leader Robert Coffey was the Son of Henry J. and Mary Coffey, of Greenview, Illinois, U.S.A. He had studied at Purdue University.
He was aged 30 when he fatally injured in an automobile accident, 1 August 1945 and is buried in the Graasten Cemetery in Denmark.
