Pilot Officer (Air Gunner) Ford was the son of Leslie Ezra and Della May Ford, of Evesham, Saskatchewan, Canada.

He was 21 when he died and is buried in Joint grave 117B in Hoven (Brande) Cemetery in Denmark.
