Cpl. Wilfred Healey "Frank" Brazier
Royal Air Force 113 Squadron
from:Canterbury, Kent
Frank Brazier is my stepfather, he is now 97 yrs old and loves to talk of his time in 23 and 113 Squadrons. Obviously at such an age conversation isn't easy but he is in great shape considering his age.
Only the other day he was telling me about when the Japanese were attacking the airfield in Burma and the Army were taking a pounding to protect the RAF guys that were trying to keep the Hurri Bombers in the air, apparently the British and Japanese soldiers were shooting at each other across a tennis court that was nearby.
Also the times he had to vacate various countries in a bit of a hurry and lost 3 sets of kit for each time he raced off. Apparently in peace time he would have been put on a charge for that.
