Flying Officer (Air Bomber) Jacques Clerc was the son of Charly and Andree Clerc of Zurich, Switzerland, a Professor at University of Saskatchewan. He was aged 27 when he died and is buried in a Collective grave in the Sonderby (Assens) Churchyard in Denmark.
