Mjr (Act. Col.) George Richard Nicholson Ascough
British Army Royal Army Service Corps
George Ascough was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps on 2nd September 1939.
He landed in Normandy shortly after D Day and was responsible for supply convoys in support of Allied forces pushing north through France and Belgium.
He was invalided out of the service in early 1945.
