Alastair Flattely
British Army 8th Survey Regiment Royal Artillery
My Uncle, Alastair Flattely served as a flash spotter with 8th Survey Regiment, Royal Artillery in Italy.
After the war he studied at Edinburgh College of Arts and later taught at Grays School of Art in Aberdeen. He went on to become vice-principal of Gloucestershire College of Art and Design. Many of his works of art are on public display and a collection is held at the Royal Scottish Academy.
