William James Phillips
British Army Welsh Regiment
from:Caerphilly
My grandfather, William Phillips never really wanted to talk about WW2.
All I know is that he was in Egypt and his camp was destroyed and he put his head in the sand, and a bomb landed by the side of him but did not go off.
Also, he was rescued by the Navy and the boat he was rescued on was torpedoed and he ended up in the water, this happened twice to him.
I have attached some photos of him that I have recently found. I am trying to find any information if anyone can help that would be great.
