238734 George Ireland British Army Cheshire Regiment from:The Wirral I have my father, George Ireland's 'A wartime log' which I presume was given to POWs to write and draw in. My father developed a life-long love of birds whilst a POW and did beautiful drawings and paintings of birds in this book. But he also did 4 or 5 drawings and water colours of this camp, the views around it and a scene in one of the huts. I shall always treasure this book.
