239954 Pte. James Thomas Boyle British Army C Coy.1st Btn. Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders from:Glasgow (d.21st March 1945) James Boyle was killed in the early hours prior to the regiment moving to cross the River Senio near Ravenna Italy. He was killed with 4 other regimental members when a German mortar shell exploded in the fox hole they were in.The story the family was given was that the other boys died instantly and James shortly after.
