I have been fortunate to have heard some stories from my grandad, Donald Rose but, as you would imagine, it is not easy for him to talk about the war without the emotions flooding back. However, he does have an audio recording of his time pre-and post-war

My grandad recently recieved the Legion D'honneur presented to him by the French Ambassador for his role in the D-Day landings. At the time of writing this, it is the day before his 96th birthday.
