Merchant Navy MV Abosso
from:Holyhead, Anglesey UK
My father, John Owen Williams, served as an engineer for the whole of the war serving on the MV Abosso then the SS Cochrane. He then joined the SS Starling and told me he was part of a convoy that went into Malta. From June 1943 to December 1943 he was serving on the Calgary after which he returned to the ferries that crossed the Irish Sea where he continued until he died in 1979.
