241342 F/O. Harold Edward "Bobbie" Burns Royal Australian Air Force 15 Squadron from:Sydney, NSW, Australia Harold Burns joined the RAAF in 1942. He then trained with the RCAF. On arrival in England he was transferred to the RAF. He trained at the No 3 Lancaster Finishing School at Feltwell. Harold joined a Lancaster crew as bombardier lead by pilot Ron Hastings. They served at Mildenhall with 15 Squadron. They survived 31 missions from 2nd of July 1944 to 2nd of December 1944. Their navigator Bob Smith kept a flight record of all their missions.
