L/Cpl. John Buchanan
British Army 14th Light Field Ambulance Royal Army Medical Corps
from:Govan, Glasgow
Only last year, a letter was found in a house in Northern Ireland addressed to my Grandfather.
The letter was from his Father, John Buchanan who had sent it from the 14th Light Field Ambulance in Egypt in 1943. This letter was kept by an Aunt who kept it from my Grandfather and his siblings (for reasons unknown).
My Grandfather and siblings became very emotional at reading the letter from their Father who has passed decades ago.
