Lewis George "Binnie" Hale Royal Navy SS Monarch of Bermuda from:Kentish Town, London My Father, Lewis Hale, joined the Monarch of Bermuda at Port Tewfik, Egypt at 1700 on Sunday 5th of July 1942. He remained on board until disembarking at Durban on 25th July. In between he had visited Kilindini, Mombasa and Madagascar. I have a WW2 diary of Dad's that gives brief glimpses of life on board Monarch, and later Mauretania in that time period.
