Harold Bernard Evans
My father Harold Evans was a Conscientious Objector who worked at a POW camp as part of his non-combatant duties. He was taught German by the POW's and also learnt shorthand which he would use later to become a journalist. While he was at the camp he sold a story about life at the camp to The West Norfolk and Kings Lynn Newspaper.
