242721 L/Sgt. Wilfred Ernest Ratcliff British Army South Staffordshire Regiment from:142 Pineapple Rd. Stirchley, Birmingham My dad Wilfred Ratcliff was in the South Staff's as a lance corporal. I think in 1944 as we have a photo of him with my mom and eldest brother who was born in 1944. Previous to this he spent 3 years in Gibraltar in the Royal Artillery. When he came home I think he was on the guns in Plymouth. He then went on to be in the British Armed Forces of the Rhine. He ended up a lance sergeant. We know this as we have a photo of him with his six brothers who were all in the forces too. His name was Wilf and it would be nice to hear of anyone who knew him.
