Pte. Robert Brewster Hamilton
British Army 176th (Highland) Field Ambulance Royal Army Medical Corps
Robert Hamilton served with 176th (Highland) Field Ambulance RAMC, attached to 7th Battalion Black Watch in 154 Brigade, 51st Highland Division.
He served in North Africa with 8th Army and was part of the 7th Battalion Black Watch that spearheaded the invasion of Sicily, D Day push into North West Europe and amongst the first to cross the Rhine. Also, amongst the first to liberate Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
