Edward Mills landed on D-Day at Juno Beach. He subsequently went on to have a relatively long and lauded campaign earning multiple medals of commandation. Edward was struck by 5 bullets and sent home. He appeared on the front page of the Kitchener Star newspaper shaking the hand of the Prime Minister from his hospital bed.
