Bill Smith served on several ships including HMS Cromarty from 17th of November 1941 to 3rd of June 1942. He was hospitalized and at HMS Assegai, Durban and served ashore from 4th of June 1942 to 17th of Nov 1943. He then joined HMS Frobisher from 18th of Nov 1943 to 2nd of June 1944 and the served in HMS Campania from 10th of Jan 1945 to 13th of June 1945.
