Leading Aircraftman Arthur Barnes was the son of John Edgar and Selina Barnes.
He was 21 when his plane was returning from a bombing raid in southern Germany when he was shot down over Limburg's territory by German anti-aircraft guns.
He is buried in the Brevenbicht Protestant Churchyard, Limburg, Netherlands.
