Flight Lieutenant (Pilot) King was the son of Percy and Louisa King, of Station Town, Wingate, Co. Durham.

He was 22 when he died and is buried in the Hardinxveld (Boven Hardinxveld) General Cemetery, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands.
