Royal Northumberland Fusiliers from:14 Clydesdale Road, Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne (d.29th May 1943) Tom Stephenson was captured by the Japanese at the fall of Singapore in February 1942. He laboured on the Burma Railway and died in the hands of the Japanese, aged 29. He is buried in Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Thailand.
