F/Sgt George Wright of 99 Squadron was my mother's brother. He was lost in action in the Far East, I believe, on or about the 1st Jan 1945. I am led to believe his Liberator was shot down returning for ops by a Jap flag ship early Jan 1945. News of his loss as missing was received a week or so before I was born soon afterwards so I was given his name.
