Sergeant Air Gunner Wilfred Marlow took part in a raid over Hamburg on 2nd/3rd of August 1943. He was the rear gunner in a Lancaster Bomber of 57 Squadron on this operation. He was 23 years old.
He is buried in Becklingen War Commentary south of Hamburg along with other members of the Squadron on that raid.
He was born in Peterborough and was the son of William and Ida Marlow and was the Husband of Elfreda Mary.
I have visited the cemetery along with his niece Erica.
The number of the aircraft and its airfield are not known, but if anyone has more information please put this forward.
