William George
from:NSW, Australia
William George was dredging in Malaya when he was taken prisoner by the Japanese and held in the Changi prison camp until the end of the war. He was over 60 years of age. His wife back in Australia died in 1942 so sadly never saw him return home. He did return back to Australia and then on to NZ.
