Maurice Best was the son of Aaron and Alice Best of Bombay, Auckland.
He was killed being struck by an aeroplane at the Royal New Zealand Air Force station at New Plymouth.
He was 27 when he died and is buried in the Bombay Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Franklin District, New Zealand.
