Chief Officer Robyns-Owen was the son of John and Catherine Robyns Owen, husband of Myfanwy Robyns-Owen, of Morfa Nevin, Caernarvonshire. He was aged 67 when he was killed accidentally in the Santo Tomas Internment Camp and is buried in the Manila North Cemetery in the Phillipines.
