During a raid against Donges St.Nazaire Oil Plant Lancaster II PG-E LM643 was shot down by flak North of Montoir-de-Bretagne close to the target. The exact position of the crash is not known, most likely the Lancaster impacts at the Briere more area.
All crew were killed and were buried at three different locations.
