I have only just recently found out about my great, great uncle, Charles Marchant, he was born in 1892 in Hammersmith, and that he was a corporal in the Pioneer Corps in WW2. At the time of his death on the 17th of June 1940, he was 48 years old. I'd like to carry out further research on him as I'd like to know more about him. Sadly I don't have any photos of him.
