William Cutts trained at HMS Collingwood as a volunteer in 1942.
He subsequently served in HMS Nelson until end of WW2
and was with the ship in America whilst refitting and at surrender of Japanese forces on board, also in Scapa Flow and Rosyth, and visited Capetown.
He was mates with another AB, Bill Mallender, I think from Leeds area.
