British Army 6th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment

My father, Robert Cree, served in the Lincolnshire Regiment from 1942 until 1945. He was in North Africa, and then Italy. He was captured in 1944 at Monte Cassino. He escaped while in transit and returned to his unit. Later that year while fighting near the River Lamone he was captured on the 9 December 1944 and this time ended up at Moosburg Stalag VIIa POW camp until liberation.
