249223 James Purvis British Army from:Liverpool My father James Purvis served in Burma and I believe Ceylon, during WW2. He was a driver and spent time in the jungle. He rarely spoke about the War but I do know he once said, that at night, the Japanese would shout out English names and woe betide anyone who responded. He did not claim his medals until many years after the war, saying "All he wanted to do was get home."
