My granddad, Fred Slater (Left side in photo), is sadly he is no longer with us and he never really talked about his time during WW2. After finding his service number after his passing I have been able to locate his service records from the MOD and received them a couple of weeks ago. Having spent time looking through the records and decoding the military abbreviations and can now confirm he was in the 92nd Field Regiment, Royal Artillery for the last 3 years of the War serving in Sicily, Greece, Italy and North Africa as well as Germany towards the end of the war.

If anybody else from the 92nd recognises either my granddad or the other gentleman in the photo I would really love to hear from you.
