James Drake enlisted in the Canadian military on 18th of October 1939 in London, Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada. He was to train to become a flight engineer & serve in the RCAF.
Not much is known as to the circumstances & details behind his death beyond the explanation of a flight accident in the area around Kelfield.
He is presently sleeping in the Selby Cemetery. His parents Isaac Newton Drake & Eliza Ellen (Columbus) Drake have also included his name on their memorial stone in the Strathroy Municipal Cemetery, in Strathroy, Caradoc Township, Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada.
