James Corcoran was my father. He was born in County Tipperary, Ireland, in and died in London 1n 1980.
He left Ireland for London in 1938 and was called up to serve for the duration of the war on 15th of March 1940.
He was captured on Crete in 1941 and held as a prisoner of war in Stalag VIIIb until repatriated due to ill health in September 1943.
He returned to Millbank Barracks in London and was de-mobbed in July 1946.
