from:Poland
My Grandad (Mum's Father), Stefan Warren (Warmuzinski), a Polish civilian, escaped from Auschwitz on New Year's Eve 1945.
They found their way to Squire's Gate (now Blackpool Airport) where he enlisted in the RAF and believed to work as an Air Traffic Controller for the Polish Air Force Squadron stationed there.
He later met my Grandma, Irene (from Accrington) who was on holiday and my mum, Stefania was born in Accrington.
